Previous affiliations and history.
Springy's origins are derived from an old Danganronpa OC made by JocaPelt; the character was designed by UpTown-P to look similar to it to pay homage to the character. Springy was made for a project called Friday Nighters (Verse)/FNV/FNer, with his name deriving from its owner, Springrz. It was made in 2021 as a collaborative effort by a friend group, with many characters corresponding to each individual within the group. FNers was fully disbanded as of early 2022.
In the summer of 2023, a reboot of FNV occurred, and the revival of the project has resumed, now also going under the alternative name "金曜日の夜/KYNY," allowing for the UTAU voicebanks to be updated and revamped.
Personality and bio
Springy is the lead in a trio of criminals with no goal in mind other than to terrorise the public while trying to remain under the radar of several world governments and three letter agencies who are out to get him and his lackeys.
Springy's cute appearance and aloof manner help him get away with a lot of chaos caused by his own doing. Nobody really knows much about him, his past, or what he actually does for a living. Springy is a mysterious person and doesn't tend to overshare about his past or background.
The only thing known about Springy's past is that he used to be a librarian but quit his job to pursue "bigger things", as he puts it.
On the outside, Springy appears foolish, oblivious, and fun-loving, but he can also be a touch chaotic at times. On the inside, he is charismatic, cunning, and sly. He is a skilled liar and is always aware of what he is doing.
Springy's deep intricacy is what marks him as so enigmatic for many people.
He is implied to have IED (unconfirmed).
Relations
- Joca - Closest friend & partner in crime
Springy and Joca are one in the same; they share the same room and are often seen holding each other by the arms in complementary outfits. Springy's relationship with Joca is often depicted as ambiguous. Springy is very protective of Joca due to unknown reasons, but has a great deal of affection for them.
- Tomi - Closest friend & (somewhat) rival
Tomi & Springy are constantly seen bickering which is almost always the result of Springy's and his schemes. Springy loves to wind Tomi up, however it's always in good fun. Springy often shows his affections towards Tomi by being hospitable to him and spending time with him when they are alone.
- Melon & GDG - His (main) accomplices.
Melon and GDG, two of Springy's unique science experiments made from food, a 9-foot creature with a melon for a head, and an oversized Dorito with a white and black-coloured fedora called GDG. They often assist in his science experiments when needed.
- CRD. Jones - Accomplice
Another attempt to create artificial life, Jones, like GDG, is an oversized dorito that helps to assist in Springys science experiments when needed. They don't exchange much in terms of conversation.
- (R)AM_GEL - Annoyance
A (now harmless) sentient virus that weasled its way into Springy's computer that is stored in his lab; he doesn't get rid of it because GDG has seemingly taken a liking to interacting with the thing.
- Otori Shifuku - Annoyance and subject of torture (harmless pranks)
Otori is a teenage girl that is currently investigating Springy and his church after mysterious and suspicious activity. Despite the annoyance, Springy likes to prank her by giving false leads on his case and often trips her up using banana peals when she least expects it, which seemingly gets on Otoris nerves.
- THANATOS PALOR - Biological Sister
Despite being unaware of each other's existence, THANATOS and Springy are biological siblings. Their relationship has not been discussed further, however it is clear that they would be fiarly close if they knew each other.
