He has been known by many names: Kogura no Yūsei, the Pale-colored Bowman, the Fox from the East, and countless other monikers. All of them described this man, a hunter from Japan with vibrant blue hair, striking orange eyes, and the inexplicable ability to never die.

Shin was born and raised in Heian-era Japan, a skilled hunter and tracker in his own right. He believed that he was destined for something greater, and took every opportunity to claim that, even if it meant dealing with spirits. It was one such spirit, a kitsune with a pure white coat, that cursed the hunter with his immortality, and in doing so ripped everything that Shin knew from his hands.

After this curse, his life was forever changed. Shin fell into the hidden world of the Yōkai, raising himself from a potential meal to a promising bounty hunter. He witnessed countless battles and wars, and was even once revered as a sign from the gods. Eventually, after being rescued from trying to freeze himself on a mountaintop, Shin was introduced to a handful of other immortals, who would teach him what living is truly about.

This is where his story begins, once again; a Yōkai bounty hunter, a primordial brass god, and a changeling that eats dreams, all living in an enchanted inn. It is here that they are introduced to yet another immortal, a young werewolf with a mysterious past and a target on his back.
