Rho's path was often 'decided' for her. As a young Ren, she was accustomed to following direct orders, or simply following her sister around. However, going to school began to change her worldview. Rho's grades are well above average, yet it did not free her from the scrutiny of wearing an issued AI-obfuscating mask.
Beneath her upright demeanor, she only wishes to find happiness in the presence of her remaining family. Rho is often drawn to the thrill of pranks or playing with other Rens, struggling to decide whether or not she should participate (as it often doesn't end well, in her POV). She is also afraid of upsetting Kenji, in later years.
One day, at MI's suggestion, Rho learned how to use magic. However, she accidentally tried a one-way teleport spell on her first try, summoning a certain "imaginary friend" into school grounds…
World Story:
Rens— a cross of singing androids and genetical engineering— were once mass-manufactured for labor and entertainment in post-war 2050s. After intense conflict between leading countries, Rens became feared by the humans due to their potential repurposing as combatants. The UN soon outlawed them and initiated a brutal extermination campaign, resulting thousands of decommissioned Rens within three decades.
Only a few hundred individuals managed to survive, scattering themselves into hidden groups. During this period, a secret group managed to fund multiple refuges across the world, including a remotely isolated boarding school (UTR Institute) in Falada, Asean.
Other Information:
- Rho sings better than her sister, Lamda. But she keeps to herself most of the time.
- Her biggest crime is that she used to love snitching about everything and everyone, until at some point, she also became quite the troublemaker!
- Rho takes on the hobby of drawing, because her adoptive brother Kenji likes it. She also likes to draw on walls, but only if Lamda is there too.
- As instructed by the Resistance agent who saved her, she never takes her mask off— and even wears it to bed!
- She was introduced to MI Miracloid one day, when Lamda was practicing spells. Rho considers her a very wise deity-person.
- The sisters were subjected with a hardcode that blocks access to certain memory records before entering the school. However, this failed to work on Rho, which allows her to recall life events that Lamda couldn't.
