A Stellar wanted to create a machine that would help them observe the Earth closer and communicate with humans. The codename of the robot body is N.A.O.S, which stands for "New Artificial Observer Star". It was made by an unknown manufacturer and had an artificial voice programmed with Ceph Garnet's help. In reality, the codename is directly based on one of the Stellar's names, Naos.

At first, Naos used to act secretive, polite and, sometimes, emotionally distant, as if trying to make people believe they are initially a robot that gained sentience, but as of recent, they are no longer keeping their origin a secret, since they have gotten comfortable enough to express their true self. Naos is now more confident and approachable, though still childishly curious about the planet Earth and its inhabitants.

"New Artificial Observer Star" implies the existence of an "old artificial observer star", however, really, it's just a backronym.

N.A.O.S' background and personality are entirely optional so as to not limit the creative usage.
