Voicebank Distribution

Doedell Plus is a synthetic voicebank sourced from the old program TalkIt! which was distributed through the Microsoft Plus for kids which was produced for Windows 95 in 1997. Doe was recorded using the male default voice set to Spanish. For extra information the pitch was set to 100, the speed was set to 40, the vocal effort set to default, and the pitch quality set to sung. Due to being a synthetic voicebank they are not as high quality.

They are a monopitch CV voicebank that includes extra consonants to provide for higher quality pronunciation. They have a bit of an accent due to the default voice set being set to Spanish. This decision was for ease of recording. It is otoed by kirbirb, who did an excellent job. Doe has a hard time pronouncing certain sounds such as the "ch" sound. It is stated in the README file that you are allowed to mess with the oto, so if you must you can do so to help fix any problems you come across.

Future voicebanks planned are a VCV voicebank provided with english phonemes and a Spanish voicebank of some kind.

Doedell Plus is a robot produced in 1997 by an unknown company and unknown creator. When asked about their creator it seems to malfunction
and bluescreen. Doedell does seem to know it's original purpose. When it is asked about it's origins Doe told the researchers that it's
purpose and duty as of the current moment was to help children and other people how to pronounce specific words and sounds of different languages better. When asked what
languages they know, Doe will respond with "I am designed to understand the three languages: English, Spanish, and Japanese. My creator had
intended to program more but-" and then they will bluescreen and have to be restarted. Doedell Plus is far desaturated than it originally was.
When the robot was first discovered in an abandoned laboratory in Venezuela they were cracked and broken. Doe was given new clothes, repaired,
and gone through an extensive reprogram to restore it back to it's original state before they were left to rot and be forgotten. Doe's documents
found in the library are torn and mangled except for a few papers documenting it's innerworkings, blueprints, and some intended uses. Most other
documents were blacked out and partially burnt.
Doe seems to be very clueless and have not much of a sense of danger. At a glance it does seem to be sullen and melancholic however. Any
and all information to their creators has somehow been purged from it's database and if you ask about their creators they will either malfunction
and require to be restarted or will get all sullen and depressed.
