- His development began abruptly, allowing him to be released merely days after his conception, alongside Kurono ASTER. This is where the association between the two characters began.
- His name and design were both inspired by his voice provider.
- Unlike other OBSCURALOID characters, AYATO's concept changed dramatically over the years. He was practically a blank slate when he was introduced.
