The second eldest daughter of the Kokorone family.
Her mother was a singer and her father a piano player, but her mother died when Aoba was three years old. Her father died in a fire when she was seven. Aoba was adopted by the Kokorone family and she now has a brother named Yotsuba and a sister named Futaba. Aoba is often teased for having step-siblings.

When she was young, her body was weak and she was shy, and she wants to grow up into someone who can protect others. She acts in a mannish way, but is easily flustered.

She tends to be sloppy and often thought to be quiet, but it takes a long time to open up because she cannot express her feelings well. Is always prone to doing a little bow and is not good at making eye contact.

Aoba likes to interact with small children and animals. She often visits zoos and aquariums.

She has good motor skills and can study a lot, but is not good at socializing and is often alone.
